Odd Harald is from Fjørå near Tafjord, a fiord close to
Geirangerfjord in Northwestern Norway that is protected as a
World Natural Heritage Site. Since childhood he has been
spending a lot of time taking trips in nature, and since his
student years at the University of Bergen he also has been
travelling a lot in other parts of the world. He got his first
DSLR-camera being 15 years, but the interest for photography
really took a great leap during his two years as a student on
Svalbard, as well as a half year on New Zealand. Since
graduating as a glaciologist in 2001 he lived four years in
Tromsø, experiencing a lot of the Northern Norwegian natural
wonders. Also his work at the Norwegian Polar Institute brought
him to several trips in Russia. The last couple of years he has
done a lot of photography on sailing trips along most of Norways
coastline.
Today he lives in Stavanger working in a consultancy firm for the
oil-industry. He has been photographing digitally for one year
now, most of the pictures in his collection has been captured
with Fuji-film. He has his own website with a big
picture-database (1000+ images) at
http://www.tseringma.net.
