Robert A. Patzner, 57, is Professor for marine biology and zoology at the Institute of Zoology, University of Salzburg, Austria. He is interested in all what lives in water, marine as well as freshwater. Special fields are ecology of Mediterranean gobies and of native water molluscs. Underwater photographer since more than 30 years. Research and diving areas: Mediterranean Sea, Mid Atlantic, Red Sea, Caribic, Indo-pacific.
