All of my life I lived in Tallinn (where also was born – 31.07.1961) but in 2003 I moved (with my wife) to live in South-Estonia (near Vőru). I have done a lot of things in my life but the last few years are dedicated only to a photography and I am sure that from this point is no „turn back“.
The first steps in photography I got from my father (who died in 1997). My father was not a proffesional but he was a very good amateur. After childhood there were a lot of things (what, of course, doesn’t mean that without any photography!)... and when I moved here, the first 1,5 years I took „time out“ – enjoying the beauty of wild nature and fishing. I had a „soap-tray“ allways with me because I wanted to record the wonderful things sawn by my eyes. Accidentally, pictures what I made during fishing, were noticed by a person who made me a suggestion to become a proffesional photographer. I agreed but this business firm fall into disagreement with their foreign partners and I had to go forward on my own.
The first digital-not-soap-tray-camera was Nikon D50. Now - Nikon D200. I like to shoot macros and if in the nearest future I shall be able to upgrade my equipment – I have got a lot of great ideas.
